DESCRIPTION:Most activities are FREE!\nLocation: Gregg House Museum and Garden \n\nmake a scarecrow (nominal fee)\nmeet a bee keeper\nsee an awesome animal show\nlearn about bunnies\, chickens and cows\npan for gold or minerals (nominal fee)\nenjoy music fun with Tim Wilsey\ncreate some cool crafts\, make rope\n play some fun games\nTreat yourself to some home-made goodies at the bake sale\npumpkin decorating (sponsored by Westmont  Chamber of Commerce)\n\nFor an $8 fee per family\, The Garden Club of Downers Grove will help you make a great scarecrow for your yard. Fee includes pillow case for the head\, straw\, wire\, a wood stand\, hay and some materials.  Please bring clothes (pants\, shirt) and any unique items you’d like to use to decorate your scarecrow. Items should be environmentally friendly (no perishable goods) and weather resistant.  We have some extra clothes on hand to share. Event will be held rain or shine!

SUMMARY:Haunted Forest Tour
DESCRIPTION:Twin Lakes Woods will come alive for one very magical\, mystical night! Participants will walk the first half of the trail and then narrators will tell you the story of the haunted woods as they conduct guided tours on hayracks. Don’t turn your back\, as characters\, ghouls and creatures will come alive before your very eyes!  We will again offer our Merry Monsters Matinee (spooky) performance from 5:00- 6:30 pm for the younger children. \nTickets sales will be from 4:30-9:00PM and tours will be ongoing so you may arrive at any time.  Due to the popularity of the event\, there may be a short wait. \nNote: please park along 59th St.\, Twin Lakes Learning Center. \nEnter at Diane Main Park (Get directions) \n5:00pm-6:30pm – Spooky\n7:00pm-9:30pm – Sheer Terror Tours \nCost: $6 per person

DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a safe and warm evening as the whole family is invited to a fun-filled time as you trick or treat with us! There will be prizes galore while you try your luck on the carnival games. Laughter will be heard in every corner as the children jump in the Halloween bounce house. Monsters fairies\, ghouls and pirates can join in on the “Parade of Costumes” to see if your name is drawn to win a special gift from the Park District. Don’t worry about dinner! Our team is ready to serve up hot\, fresh pizza\, popcorn and soda.
