DESCRIPTION:Don’t hibernate – Recreate! Step out with a few friends for lunch and quick visit to a local destination! See an extraordinary collection of gemstones\, jade and ivory carvings\, and rocks and minerals from around the world as we visit the Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art in Oak Brook. Upon arrival\, we will see a short film about the museum’s history as well as have an introduction from the curator about the current exhibits. In addition to gemstones\, Lizzadro is well known for its collection of ancient fossils. This small but unique museum is worth a visit! Don’t forget to stop in their gift shop for one-of-a-kind treasures. After touring the museum\, enjoy lunch on your own at Giordano’s restaurant in Oakbrook Terrace. We will be taking the small Park district bus. Please help us reach our minimum by registering by January 9.
