Summer Special Events

The best music is right here in Westmont. Each summer we present several great, FREE concerts showcasing a variety of music! Bring your picnic baskets, lawn chairs, blankets and dance moves to our parks and enjoy an evening of outdoor entertainment. Concerts will begin in July and end in mid August so you can enjoy music throughout the whole summer! So, bring the whole family or come alone, but don’t miss out on this FREE entertainment or you’ll be “Singing the Blues”! All concerts are held Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm-8:30PM. Concessions are available for purchase at The Backstop concession stand just south of the Gazebo at Ty Warner Park only.

Parking

Ty Warner Park – Parking is available in the South parking lot on the corner of Plaza Drive and Blackhawk Drive, or in the West parking lot off of Burr Oak Drive.  A limited number of handicapped parking spaces are available on Chestnut Street along the North side of the park.

Veterans Memorial Park – Parking at Veterans is available along Linden Ave. or Dallas St. or in the parking lots around the Community Center and  Senior Center.

Movie in the Park

Paddington 2. Paddington is happily settled with the Brown family, and a popular member of his community. In order to purchase the perfect gift for his Aunt Lucy’s 100th birthday, he picks up a series of odd jobs. He finds the perfect gift, a unique pop-up book, only to have the book stolen. Now it’s up to Paddington, along with the Browns, to catch and unmask the thief. Movie begins at dusk.

Movie in the Park

The LEGO Ninjago Movie.

The battle for Ninjago city calls to action six young ninjas who are tasked with defending it. By night, they're warriors, using their skills to fight off evil villains and monsters. By day, they're just regular teenagers trying to make it through high school. Together they must defeat and save their city from the evil warlock, who just so happens to be one of the ninja’s father. Movie begins at dusk.

Bring your own blankets and chairs; the movie will be shown at the Ty Warner Park Gazebo.  Snacks can be purchased at The Backstop Concession stand.

Barnyard Bingo

Purchase your “deed” beginning mid-May at Westmont Park District or at Gregg House Museum and pit your luck against the gastrointestinal actions of a cow or goat.  Guess where the animal will do “what comes naturally” on our bingo grid. If it plops in your square- you can win up to $200 cash!  This event is sponsored by the Westmont Historical Society and proceeds benefit the Gregg House Museum.
