From the Ashes The Great Chicago Fire

“From the Ashes: The Great Chicago Fire of 1871” addresses the myths and misconceptions surrounding the legendary fire and provides the full story of how the fire started, spread and impacted the city of Chicago for years to come. Presenter Brian Failing is the Executive Director of the Aurora Regional Fire Museum. The museum is located in downtown Aurora’s 1894 Central Fire Station. Following the presentation, there will be a special Westmont Area Historical Society 50th Anniversary kick-off celebration with refreshments.
