In addition to providing a sledding hill during the winter months, the Park District is expanding its winter special events to make the most of the season.



Calling All Crafters!

We are searching for talented crafters/small business owners who would like to participate in our annual craft show! Vendors will get an area approximately 8×5 feet, one 8’ table and 2 chairs, advertising both locally and throughout surrounding suburbs, access to electricity, and complimentary coffee.  Please reserve your space early by calling 630-969-8080 and providing your name, address, phone number, and specific selling items. A registration form will be sent to you promptly. Registration letters for returning vendors will be mailed out after Labor Day.

Save all your Christmas shopping for today!  You will be able to purchase everything from beautiful handmade items and one of kind ornaments, to holiday decorations, homemade goodies and specialty gifts. With a wide variety of crafters as well as homebased businesses, there is something for everyone on your list. Snow Much Fun has a new look!  Enjoy some holiday cheer when you take selfies in Santa’s sleigh or in the giant snow globe. Participate in tree decorating as we get ready for opening day of our annual Holly Days event.  The Green Valley Dog Sled Drivers and their rescue Huskies will be demonstrating dog sledding on the baseball field. There will be outdoor fun and games for everyone. Refreshments will be available from the Dope Sandwich Food Truck. You can even make s’mores at the Gregg House. Be sure to bundle up because this is an outdoor event. Additional details will be forthcoming. Bring your family and friends and delight in a most enchanting winter experience

Help Wanted!  Santa has a lot of presents to deliver and he needs the help of all the Elves he can get.  Come this Holly Days event and become and official Elf for Santa!  Applicants will be put through several tests to see if they can earn the privilege of their own Elf hat.  To determine if you are Elf material, you will have to pass Woodworking 101, Candy Cane target practice, Chimney Toss, Snowball Stomp, North Pole Push-ups, Jingle Bell Jumping Jacks, Rudolph relay race, and lastly you must pass the Naughty or Nice test!  If you pass all of tests you will earn your Elf hat and be able to take a picture with Santa on his sleigh.

Come take a ride around Westmont on the Holly Jolly Trolley and enjoy this magical Holly Days event with your family.  Enjoy the holiday season by taking a ride to Mrs. Claus Cookie shop to decorate and enjoy your own Christmas cookies.  Visit Santa’s Workshop to listen to holiday stories and return back to the Community Center to create a new Christmas ornament for your tree.  On your way out make sure you grab a cup of hot chocolate for the ride home.  The Trolley will be on a continuous loop between all locations so you and your family can enjoy each activity.  Enjoy this leisurely holiday family activity at the Westmont Park District.

How excited would your child/ren be if Santa came and personally delivered them a present?  Well now you can find out.  With the Santa Sleigh Visit, Santa will deliver and visit at your home to surprise and encourage your child/ren.  Parents are asked to deliver a wrapped gift with your child/ren names and the present and a message for them so Santa can have a nice conversation when he gets to your house.  This is sure to be a memory your kids will never forget! Please drop off your gift at the Westmont Community Center by Friday, Dec 10th.

Monday, December 13-Wednesday, December 15 will be the north side of town from 4:30-8pm.

Thursday, December 16 and Friday, December 17 will be the south side of town from 4:30-8pm.
