Spray Park Update:
Late Friday (6/26) the IL Dept. of Public Health announced new water activity and swimming pool guidelines for the State and we are very excited to open the spray park for our guests! There are a few tasks we need to complete before we can officially open the gates…
Because of COVID-19, we have had our spray park shut down not knowing if it would be allowed to open in 2020.
- We were only able to renew our Health Department permit as of Friday, June 26. This is step 1 in opening the park.
- Staff needs to be hired and trained.
- The mechanical equipment and system needs to be cleaned, disinfected, started and tested
- The new Phase 4 operating guidelines include extra signage, cleaning and disinfecting; we are reviewing this and making the proper preparations.
- Phase 4 rules allow for a MAXIMUM OF 50 PERSONS IN THE SPRAY PARK AT ANY GIVEN TIME. There may be a wait for you and your child to enter the Spray Park.
All of these tasks typically take 2-3 weeks under normal conditions. However, we will attempt to accomplish this in time to open for the holiday weekend. We are working diligently this week and are eager to share the news of the spray park’s opening as soon as we can!

Skate Park Update:
At this time the Skate Park will continue to be CLOSED. The primary reason is due to maintenance issues. This 16-year-old facility is not in a usable condition at this time due to the force from use over the years. We have replaced the Skatelite sheets (riding surface) many times over the years, as well again this spring. The main issue we discovered is some of the structural framework underneath needs repair in a couple of specific locations. To begin the repair process/ investigate we removed a number of sheets and side panels. At this time the Skate Park is unsafe and must remain closed.
We are working with the builder of the park, to make repairs as soon as possible.
